Is your holiday list ready? Here’s your one-month heads-up to get a move on the who’s who on your  list. Only 31 days before the event where you are a supa gift star and a world changin’ spenda. Put some Cha Cha in your cha-ching, with a trip to the Fair Trade Market.

Weave joy around the world shopping fair and sweat free at the 8th annual Fair Trade Market Friday and Saturday November 20-21 and Friday, Saturday and Sunday November 26-28, 2010 from 9 am to 3 pm. Held at Manchester United Methodist Church (129 woods Mill Rd Manchester, MO 63011), the market is one of the largest of its kind offering thousands of handmade items with an average price of $20, live entertainment and food. The Fair Trade Market is designed to transport shoppers around the world with international entertainment and a selection of items from more than 50 countries. None generated in sweatshops or in violation of fair labor practices and all with good environmental practices in mind. Items available include clothing and accessories, coffee, chocolate, baskets and boxes, games, home decor, jewelry, musical instruments, rugs, toys and more. New this year, on the first weekend only, a fair trade hand-knotted Persian rug event and sale and, during the second weekend only, weaving demonstrations. Dine as our guest while enjoying the short program including fascinating success stories of artisans and farmers rising above poverty, opportunities to meet community folks working on local fair trade projects, and multiple fair trade speakers with special guest Julie from Shoeman Water Projects.
